COVID-19 Booster Vaccine Campaign
– With so many contradicting information out there, we thought we would collate the important facts about the booster shot for COVID-19.
We translated these facts and recorded the information in 5 different languages to be distributed to the minority communities that they addressed.

Third Doses Are Important
A COVID-19 third dose helps prevent waning immunity (loss of protection) against COVID-19. Third doses are important to give you maximum protection against COVID-19 and to help reduce the spread of the virus.
You can get a free COVID-19 third dose from:
- Any Victorian state-run vaccination centre
- Your local GP or pharmacy
- Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation.

who can get a third dose
Third doses are different from third primary doses, which are given to those who are immunosuppressed, so they can have the same level of protection as the general population.
1
Eligible people aged 18 and over will receive the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine as their third dose.
People aged 16-17 will get the Pfizer vaccine, regardless of which COVID-19 vaccine
they received for their first two doses.
2
Anyone aged 60 years and over can now get their COVID-19 vaccination in their own home. A healthcare professional will visit your home to administer the COVID-19 vaccine.
3
For those who are immunocompromised & have received 3 primary doses, it is also recommended you have a 4th dose (which acts as a booster) in line with the general population, which will be 3 months after your 3rd primary course.
4
You can also get a third dose if you have completed an initial vaccination course overseas with a COVID-
19 vaccine recognised by the Therapeutic Goods Administration.

effectiveness
Two initial COVID-19 vaccine doses are very effective at preventing infection and serious illness. International evidence suggests that this protection against COVID-19 gradually decreases over time, particularly from 4 months onwards. Get your booster shot soon!
We held free babysitting services
We were able to facilitate 16 people to get there booster vaccine by providing both baby sitting services and transporting a number of them to & fro the vaccination hub.
